Anterior Compartment Syndrome

One of the many conditions often lumped under the umbrella term ‘shin splints’; it can also be referred to as chronic exertional compartment syndrome.

It occurs when the large muscle at the front of the leg expands usually due to demands placed on it with exercise and this increases the pressure in this tight compartment.
